MBM Office National is a second-generation family-owned company established in 1971. As a founding member of Office National, now with over 170 stores across Australia, we are committed to the supply and service of quality office products.
Company History
Bob Catterall (Snr) established MBM in 1971 as the business machinery arm of a local stationary firm. Over the preceding 10 years the remaining shares were purchased and MBM moved to larger premises at 149 Shakespeare Street, Mackay. During 1993 MBM became a founding member of Office Network and in 1996 the company was purchased by Robert Catterall.
During the year of 1999 Office Network (Office Machines) merged with Office Force (Office Products) and APT (IT Equipment) to create Office National. With the greater buying power and extended product range that Office National provided, MBM recognised the requirement to expand and proceeded to purchase East Coast Office Supplies in 2002. This purchase enabled MBM to move to larger premises located at 52 Gregory Street, Mackay.

Office National has over 170 stores with over 1400 staff nationally and with an annual combined turnover approaching $500 Million.
